I find singers and musical instruments, and the sounds they make, to be incredibly inspiring. There is something about the rhythms and tones that can really get my creative juices flowing. When I'm stuck on a design project, often times listening to music will help me to come up with new ideas. I also find that the shapes and sizes of musical instruments can be helpful in shaping my designs. For example, the curves of a violin can inspire the lines of a dress or the roundness of a drum can inform the shape of a piece of jewelry. In short, music is an essential part of my design process and helps to guide me in creating beautiful things.
